How long do we store your data?

We store the data as long as necessary for the purposes of this website. For the correctness guarantee, which covers you for 2 months, we need to be able to see retroactively what calculations or validations were performed, and when. Backups of servers can extend the period beyond 2 months. Latest one year after personal data was entered, it will have disappeared from logs and backups.

What rights do you have regarding your data?

5. Analytics and advertising

On our website we offer you a service for advertising and tracking-free access with contentpass. This is an offer of Content Pass GmbH, Wolfswerder 58, 14532 Kleinmachnow, Germany. When you take out the service, contentpass becomes your contractual partner.

In order to be able to display and thus offer you this service on our website, contentpass, on our behalf, processes your IP address at the beginning of your website visit. For the registration as well as the contract processing of contentpass and the associated data processing, contentpass is the controller within the meaning of the DS-GVO. We are exclusively responsible for the processing of your IP address.

Matomo (formerly Piwik)

This website uses the open source web analytics service Matomo. Unlike many other websites, we do not use Google Analytics. Instead, we use our own Matomo server, located within the EU, for analyzing web traffic. We have configured our Matomo server such that it does not collect any personal data from you. In particular, we use the following settings:

  • Anonymizing IP addresses by masking the last 2 bytes, e. g., 192.168.xxx.xxx. Such a shortened IP address can no longer be assiciated with one person.
  • No use of tracking cookies. Our Matomo server does not track you with cookies.
  • Removal of any and all URL parameters from referrer URLs. When you visit our website by clicking on a link on some other website, the address you are coming from is usually sent to our server. Such a web address may contain parameters which could identify a person. To make sure we do not store personal data, we remove all URL parameters before processing a referrer URL.
If you want to opt out of your visit being counted by our Matomo software, please remove the check mark. Please note that we do not process personal data anyways, with our without the check mark being set.

Google AdSense

This website uses Google AdSense, a service for including advertisements from Google Inc. ("Google"). It is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
